Flower Wall for Boston Micro Wedding

Although Jenny and Joe's wedding day was intimate, they wanted their floral design to be anything but small! They hoped to make their micro wedding feel extra special, with bright, bold flowers. When they first inquired, Jenny and Joe shared their plans for a ceremony outdoors at Arnold Arboretum, followed by a reception at SRV Boston in the South End. The couple was laid-back and down-to-earth, and I was excited to create something truly unique for them.

Making a Big Statement with a Flower Wall

Even with a micro reception in a restaurant, I pitched to them a large flower wall to elevate the space. Jenny and Joe were immediately excited about the idea and booked right away!

Trusting your florist can make a huge difference. From the start, Jenny and Joe gave me creative freedom. I love it when clients provide me with a general vision—like colors and vibes—and let me run with it. When you trust me to work with seasonal, local flowers and adapt to the unique space of your venue, you get floral art at its finest.

Colorful Floral Design for Boston Micro Wedding

On the day of the wedding, my team and I installed the flower wall directly on the wall of the private dining room. We incorporated the existing wine racks with the flower wall. I used a lot of locally grown flowers, which brought in amazing color and the feeling of summer indoors. I wanted to create a super lush environment so I designed abundant compote centerpieces to pair with the flower wall. Guests got to take home the compote centerpieces as a fun and special favor!

Here’s a lovely review from Jenny and Joe:

"Jules was absolutely amazing—professional, easy to work with, and incredibly talented! All I knew was that I wanted bold, colorful flowers for my wedding, and Jules took my vague ideas and turned them into something truly spectacular. I couldn’t have been happier! I also loved that all the flowers were locally sourced, which was important to me. Jules made our small Boston wedding feel even more special."
