Meg’s 50th birthday party at Garage B was nothing short of spectacular! This modern, blank-slate venue in the Boston area is a favorite for weddings and events, offering endless versatility. As a floral designer, I love the creative freedom Garage B provides. For Meg’s celebration, the venue was transformed into a luxurious, moody speakeasy, with floral installations that made a statement. Every detail planned by Meg’s partner led to an incredible night full of energy and fun!

Boston Floral Installations

Whenever possible I like to create an AI Rendering of what a floral installation will look like for my clients (check out the reel below). I envision a semi-circle shape with moody vibes and an organic feel. We incorporated a custom neon pink sign into the center of the design surrounded by roses and greenery. It is always so fun to see it come to life on the day of the event! Learn more about floral installations.

We added bud vases with roses on each table and covered the DJ’s table in greenery. The space was completed with amazing lighting from Boston Event Lighting. The lighting created pin spots on my bud vases scattered throughout the venue that looked amazing. They also highlighted the installation, which truly brought it to life in the dark party space. I love working with lighting companies to create a total vibe and enhance the floral designs!

Birthday Party at Garage B

The birthday party included a custom ice sculpture, a champagne tower, and DJ Dayglow spinning amazing tunes late into the night. It was truly the most dreamy birthday party I've ever seen!

As the night concluded, I pulled flowers directly from the installation and created bouquets for guests to take home. I LOVE to find ways I can keep flowers out of the compost and want guests to enjoy them instead. Learn more about Althea Floral Design and our sustainability practices.
